Taco Salad




1 can kidney beans, drained
1 lb. ground beef
2 lg. onions, chopped
1 head lettuce, shredded
3 to 4 tomatoes, wedged
1 pkg. taco flavored Doritos
1 bottle Catalina salad dressing
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. ground cumin
8 to 10 oz. grated sharp cheddar cheese


Brown ground beef with one onion. Add chili powder and cumin and continue to brown. Remove from heat. Drain grease. Put meat in large bowl. Layer on top of meat the following: remaining onion, tomato wedges, cheese, taco chips, and lettuce. When ready to eat, add Catalina dressing and toss.
