Chicken Parmesan

Time

prep 0:15       total 1:00

Yield

4 to 6 servings

Ingredients

Ingredients

4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Italian bread crumbs (I recomend progresso)
Mozzarella cheese
Tomato sauce (barilla is excellent)
2 eggs
Milk

Instructions

Mix eggs and milk together in bowl. Put italian bread crumbs in seperate bowl.

Take chicken, and dip in the milk/egg mixture. Then in the bread crumbs. Repeat this twice for each piece of chicken.

Place chicken in baking dish, and cover with slices of cheese. Pour sauce over the chicken. Cover with foil and place in oven at 350°F for 45-60 minutes.

Note: Check the chicken after 45 minutes. If done, take it out. Sometimes the chicken will get done sooner due to elevation. If you keep it in too long, then it will get dry.

Author's Comments

I found this by accident, trying to find different ways of cooking chicken for 3 young boys and my husband... Threw it together in 15 minutes with what I had in the fridge... and now it is their absolute favorite. My husband asks me to fix it when we have "special guests" over for dinner.

Serve some fresh vegies with (mauch hollindaise sauce)
1 cup of mayo
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 tsp. of lemon juice.

It's delicious !!!! Great way to get your kids to eat veggies!

Well, with the exception that there is no parmesan in this recipe, this was excellent. We served it with penne pasta tossed in olive oil and parmesan (we had to have some somewhere) and steamed squash and onions.

I tried this and added fresh parmesan cheese, on the top, prior to baking. I also used Progresso Marinara sauce. My family enjoyed the meal and it was so EASY to prepare! Served with Texas Toast and a caesar salad.

MMMMM! Although this recipe doesn't have any parmesan, the Mozzarella did it justice, it was great with freshly grated parmesan and spagetti!
