Wet Ingredients
1 tsp. | vanilla | 2 tbsp. | vinegar | 3 tbsp. | melted shortening | 1 cup | lukewarm water |

Instructions
Sift together the dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl. Pour in the wet ingredients, adding the water last. Mix well, and pour into a greased cakepan. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

My Grandma used to make this cake in the forties, as it was inexpensive and quick. (No eggs or milk.)
