Ukrainian Mushrooms with Sour Cream

Ingredients
1 | lg. onion, minced | 2 tbsp. | butter | 1 lb. | fresh mushrooms, diced | 1 tbsp. | flour | 1/2 | taspoon salt | 1/4 tsp. | pepper | 1/2 cup | whipping cream | 1/2 cup | dairy sour cream | 1/4 cup | grated cheese (Parmesan, Swiss, or | | Cheddar) | 2 tbsp. | butter, melted |

Instructions
Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet 5 minutes. Add mushrooms; saute 5 minutes longer. Blend well, flour, salt, and pepper with skillet mixture. Add whipping cream and sour cream gradually; mixing thoroughly. Turn into 1-quart casserole. Top with cheese. Drizzle melted butter over top. Bake at 350 F. about 20 minutes, or until thoroughly heated. 4 to 6 servings.
