Turkey Stuffing

4 cups



1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1 dash black pepper
1-1/2 tsp. Schilling Poultry Seasoning
1/4 cup hot water
6 cups soft bread crumbs


Brown onion and celery in butter. Stir in salt, pepper, poultry seasoning and water; mix well. Add bread crumbs and toss lightly to mix well.

Author's Comments

Old style stuffing that my Mom and Grandmom used to make. This recipe makes enough to stuff a 5 lb. bird. Cooked wild rice mixed in makes a good addition.
