Tatertot Taco Casserole

1-1/2 lb. lean beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning
2 cans (10-3/4 oz. each) Campbell's Cheddar Cheese
1 pkg. Oreida's tator tots
3 qt. casserole dish


Brown the beef and drain. Follow the directions on the taco seasoning packet. Put a layer of tator tots on the bottom of the casserole dish enough to cover the whole bottom. When the meat mixture is ready, add to top of tator tots; spread out to cover. Put Campbell's cheddar cheese over meat mixture; spread out to cover. Add last layer of tator tots on top (just like you did on the bottom layer), enough to cover all. Follow the heating directions for tator tots on the package (which is usually about 30 minutes or until the tator tots are golden brown).

Author's Comments

The best way to eat this is casserole after dishing it out is to break down the tator tots by totally mixing the mixture till it looks like a big glop then serve it with sour cream on the side or top
