Sun Tea

4 to 6 servings



6 single serving bags of black tea (Luzianne preferred)
2 single serving bags flavored herbal tea (chai, berry, peach, etc.)


Remove hang tags from the tea bags (you don't want the dye leaching
into your tea) and drop into a 1/2 gallon glass pitcher. Fill with cold water, making sure to wet the tea bags so they will submerge as they sit. Cover pitcher with a lid or with plastic wrap. Set outside, preferably where the tea will be in the sun for several hours, although a warm area on a cloudy day will work (if not take a little longer).

Allow to steep for 4-6 hours or until the tea is dark enough. Remove tea bags and discard. Serve tea with ice and lemon if desired, and discard any unused tea if it is not used the same day.
