Instructions
Cook potatoes in boiling water, until tender; drain. Mash with butter and milk; season to taste with salt and pepper.
In skillet over medium heat, cook beef and onions until meat is browned; pour of fat. Stir in garlic, tomato sauce, oregano and Worcestershire; add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
Spoon meat mixture into 8 cup (2 L) baking dish; spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.
Recipe may be prepared ahead to this point. Bake in 375 F. oven for 35 minutes or until top is golden brown. Serve with chili sauce. Makes 4 to 5 servings.

This English favorite is just as good made with ground beef as with the leftover roast beef traditionally called for. Use leftover mashed potatoes or cook potatoes as directed below.
