This salad is delicious but 'high' in fat. One can still have the taste but less fat by doing the following in place of the original ingredients:
*Use 1/2c. of light mayo
*Use lowfat milk and increase it to 1/2c.
*Use 1/4 c. of imitation bacon bits
*Add 1 tsp. of white vinegar
*Use 6 packets of Equal sweetener in place of sugar.
*Cut sunflower seeds to 1/4 c.
Broccoli salad was requested at the recent BBQ I went to and I was a bit hesitant at first, but this was a GREAT recipe. I didn't have any bacon so I left this ingredient out, but I don't think it would have made a huge difference, I got rave reviews! Great recipe!
Instructions
Blend dressing ingredients well, set aside for 1/2 hour. Pour on salad and mix.
