Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. In large bowl, combine first five ingredients; stir until well blended. Shape into one 5-inch long roll for each 5 servings. Place on broiler pan and bake 30-35 minutes, until sausage is fully cooked and brown. Transfer to paper towels and cool to room temperature. Thaw pastry according to package directions. Increase oven temperature to 425°F. Spread mustard evenly over each pastry sheet. Sprinkle cheese evenly over mustard. Cut each pastry sheet in half from top to bottom and then again from left to right. Place a sausage roll near long edge of a pastry quarter. Roll up jelly-roll fashion. Beat egg in small bowl. Brush edge of pastry with egg to seal. Place pastry, sealed edge down, on greased baking sheet. Repeat for remaining sausage rolls. Bake 20-25 minutes, until pastry browns. Slice each roll into 5 slices and serve warm.
