Sara's Sangria

The sangria to end all sangrias |
Ingredients
2/3 cup | freshly squeezed lime juice (juice of approximately 6 limes) | 2/3 cup | sugar | 1/4 cup | water | 3 cups | fruity red wine preferably Cabernet Sauvignon | 1 cup | sparkling water (Calistoga) | | Two cups of fresh fruit in season (soft flavorful fruit like berries and peaches) | 6 | wheels of lime (lime slice with cut made on one side) |

Instructions
Make lime syrup by mixing lime juice, sugar and ΒΌ cup water in small saucepan. Heat on warm setting on stove, stir until sugar dissolves.
Cut fruit into small decorative pieces and mix with lime syrup. Pour into pitcher and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Add wine and sparkling water to fruit mixture. (Taste, if it is bitter, add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar.) Serve over ice, garnish glass with lime wheel.
