Ingredients
1 cup | butter | 1 cup | peanut butter | 1 cup | brown sugar | 1 cup | white sugar | 1 | egg - well- beaten | 1 cup | all-purpose flour | 1 tsp. | soda | 1/8 tsp. | salt |

Instructions
Cream butter and peanut butter. Gradually blend in sugar. Add beaten egg. Mix flour, soda and salt. Add and mix well. Form in soft balls. Place on greased cookie sheet.
Press with fork dipped in some flour. Bake @350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.

This recipe is very dear to my heart. It is one of the two recipes that my dad, Roy Befus made. He was the stage manager of Hart House Theater for over eighteen years. Unfortunately he passed away in 1973 when I was just twelve years old. He is sorely missed.
His other recipe was Lemon Meringue. I don't have that recipe though.
