Onion-Mushroom Casserole

5 cups Vidalia onions, peeled
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
3 tsp. flour
1-1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup cracker crumbs


Combine onions with butter, mushrooms and salt; simmer for 5 minutes in a medium size sauce pan. Add cream cheese. When melted, add flour and milk.

Reheat. Turn into a 2 qt. greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with mixture of grated cheese and crumbs. Bake in a hot 400°F oven for 30 minutes.

It was very good, I added more mushrooms.
