Onion Casserole




1 cup crushed Club crackers
2/3 cup sliced onions
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup melted butter or
margarine, separated


Combine crackers and 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine and pat evenly into bottom of baking dish. Saute onions in 1/4 cup butter or margarine; pour over crumbs. Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over onions. Top with shredded cheese; bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
