Ingredients
2 cups | all-purpose flour | 2 cups | quick-cooking oatmeal | 1 cup | brown sugar | 1/2 cup | sugar | 1 tsp. | salt | 1 tsp. | baking soda | 1 tsp. | vanilla | 2 | eggs | 1/2 cup | butter or | | margarine, melted | 1/2 cup | vegetable oil | 6 to 12 oz. | chocolate chips * | 6 oz. | butterscotch chips | | Chocolate chips, for topping (optional) |

These are awesome. I actually omit the oil and use apple sauce instead and it comes out great.

Instructions
Mix all ingredients by hand in a large mixing bowl. Spread in a 13x9x2-inch panand bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. After baking, sprinkle chocolate chips on top and spread. Cool and cut into bars.

* If using second quantity (12 oz.), omit butterscotch chips
