Ingredients
1 | onion, sliced | 1 cup | diced celery | 1/4 cup | butter | 1/4 cup | all-purpose flour | 1/2 tsp. | dry mustard | 1 tsp. | Worcestershire sauce | 1/2 tsp. | garlic salt | 1/2 tsp. | MSG | 2 | bouillon cubes | 1 cup | water | 1 | carrot, diced | 4 cups | milk | 8 oz. | shredded sharp cheddar cheese | | Salt and pepper, to taste |

Instructions
In a large saucepan cook onion and celery in butter for approximately five minutes. Blend in next five ingredients. Then add bouillon cubes, water and carrot. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes. Add milk and heat almost to boiling. Watch carefully. Add cheese and stir until cheese is melted. Season to taste.
