3/4 cup | all-purpose flour | 1/4 tsp. | baking soda | 1/4 tsp. | salt | 1/3 cup | butter | 3/4 cup | sugar | 2 tbsp. | water | 1 pkg. (12 oz.) | chocolate chips | 1 tsp. | vanilla extract | 2 | lg. island eggs | 1/2 cup | macadamia nuts, chopped * |

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F. Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt) and set aside. In a large pot combine butter, sugar and water. Remove from heat just before it comes to a boil. Add half of the chips (1 cup) and the vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon until chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each one. Blend in flour mixture about 1/3 cup at a time. Beat well. Finally mix in the remaining cup of chips and the chopped nuts. Spread in a 9x9x2-inch pan and bake 30-35 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
