1/2 lb. | sausage | 1 lb. | lean ground beef | 1 env. | dry chicken noodle soup mix | 2 cups | boiling water | 1 cup | chopped celery | 1/2 cup | chopped onion | 1/4 cup | chopped green bell pepper | 1/2 tsp. | salt | 1/4 tsp. | pepper | 1/2 cup | uncooked regular rice | 1/2 cup | slivered or | | sliced almonds |

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Brown meat in skillet on medium high heat. combine drained meat with remaining ingredients in a 2-1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle almonds over top. Baked covered for 1 hour.

I like this recipe - tastes somewhat like a Chinese-style chow mein. It is an inexpensive dish to make and take to pot-lucks.
