1. Melt butter/margarine in a round microwave flat bottom casserole.
2. Stir in sugar, ground powder unsweetened chocolate (Hershey's dry cocoa). Always have it around and it never gets eaten ahead of time, like chocolate chips!
3. Stir in egg, vanilla, salt. Mix thoroughly.
4. Stir in flour and baking powder. Add chopped nuts.
5. Microwave for 6-8 minute, just until puffed up and top is dry on turntable at normal. (My microwave has only low/defrost and normal.)

One of the best ever brownie recipes - a true chocolate hit in 6-8 minutes. Wonderful. Chewy, moist. Hardest part is to wait until they cool down before you eat them. But they are not bad hot and sticky just out of the microwave. Only one dish to clean up. When the chocolate mood hits, you always have the ingredients for this at hand. <br />

Extras: frost with mint frosting; add ground orange peel; usealmonds or add almond flavor instead of vanilla; add instant coffee; sprinkle chocolate chips on top of batter; swirl warmed peanut butter in the batter.
