1 lb. | dried Great Northern beans | 6 cups | water (reserve later) | 2 tsp. | salt | 1/2 tsp. | dry mustard | 1 | lg. onion, minced | 1/3 cup | dark brown sugar | 1/3 cup | dark molasses | 1/2 cup | chili sauce | 2-1/2 cup | canned tomatoes | 8 slices | bacon |

Instructions
Cover beans with water; bring to a boil and boil for two minutes. Cover pan and let stand for one hour. Simmer until beans are almost tender, approximately 1- 1/2 hours. Drain and reserve liquid. Add remaining ingredients except bacon; pour into shallow baking pan. Top with bacon slices cut into halves. Bake in pre-heated 300°F oven for two hours, adding more reserved bean liquid, if necessary.
