1 qt. roma tomatoes with juice
1 qt. tomato juice
2 cans (6 oz. each) Italian seasoned tomato paste
2 cans (6 oz. each) plain tomato paste
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. oregano
1 tbsp. basil
1 onion, chopped and sautéed (optional)

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in large skillet and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up tomatoes. You may add browned ground beef if desired.

(Melinda cooks by smell and taste so quantities of spices are approximate)
Melinda is now in her fourth year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and divised this recipe while in high school at a time when she did not cook with onion.
