1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 lg. green apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 tbsp. brandy or
Cognac
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg

Instructions

In frying pan, melt the butter. Add sugar and stir until mixed. Add apples and stir until apples are coated with caramel. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 3 minutes. Serve hot with whipped cream, if desired.
