Lemon Chicken



4 servings



1-1/2 tbsp. salad oil
1 chicken, cut up
2 lemon
1 can (10 oz.) tomato juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
1-1/2 tsp. sugar
1 md. onion, sliced
1-1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1-1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt


Heat oven to 350°F. Heat oil in frying pan and brown chicken. Place in shallow baking dish in single layer, meaty side up. Sprinkle with grated lemon rind. Heat remaining ingredients, stirring to blend. Pour over chicken. Bake one hour or until tender, uncovered, basting often.
