La Grasse Fromagère Avocado Dip

2 avocados
3/4 cup salsa
1/2 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
2/3 cup cottage cheese
3/4 cup grated provolone cheese
1/2 cup chick peas
2/3 cup sour cream
1 handful Bean sprouts
Hot sauce, to taste

Toppings

Tomatoes, cubed
Parmesan cheese

Instructions

In mixing bowl, mash avocados and cream cheese; mix well. Incorporate all other ingredients. Heat on stove top over low-medium heat until color starts to darken and cheese melts. Put in serving bowl and top with cubed tomatoes and parmesan cheese. Serve with warm pita bread slices or tortilla chips.

Author's Comments

This is pretty chunky and filling dip. For smoother texture, I'm thinking of doing all the mixing in a blender next time.
