1-1/4 cup sugar
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 dash salt

Instructions

Combine sugar and chocolate in food processor and mix until chocolate is as fine as sugar, about 1 minute. Pour hot milk (heat to simmer stage) into mixture and blend until chocolate is melted. Add vanilla, baking powder and salt and blend 30 seconds. Pour into sterilized jar and chill.

To use: Place sauce in top of double boiler over simmering water. Warm until sugar is completely dissolved and sauce is heated through, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
