Granny’s Sugar Cookies

A personal favorite that I remember Granny making every Christmas when I was just a kid.

Ingredients

Ingredients

3/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1-3/4 cup flour

Instructions

Mix all ingredients. Chill in fridge for 30 minutes before baking at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Freeze overnight after cooled for extra softness.


To make candy cane shaped cookies:
Put red food coloring in ½ the dough before refrigerating. Roll into long log and twist red dough around natural colored dough then cut and shape into candy canes.

To taste these cookies are to love them! Unfortunately, it's a little difficult to get past the guilt factor thanks to all that delicious butter.
