Instructions
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
Mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon,
nutmeg, cloves and coriander.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.
Add the egg and mix well.
Stir in flour mixture and milk until well blended.
Add chopped apples.
Drop by small spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are firm when touched, but not overly browned.
Make the glaze and frost cookies while still hot.
Let cookies cool completely before storing.
To make the Glaze
Stir together the melted butter, powdered sugar,
maple flavoring and milk till smooth.
Dot each cookie with about 1/2 tsp. glaze.

These cookies are very soft, almost cakelike. I chopped the apples to about the size of peas, but I suppose larger would be allright too!
I couldn't find maple flavoring and didn't know if syrup would work so I left it out of the glaze, but they still tasted great!
