German Creamed Bratwurst




1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp. butter or
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2-1/2 cup milk
1 (12) pkg. fully cooked bratwurst, sliced in 1/2 inch pieces
1/4 cup snipped parsley
Toast points


In skillet cook mushrooms and onion in butter till vegetables are tender but not brown. Stir in flour, salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Add milk all at once; cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in sliced bratwurst and parsley. Heat through. Serve on toast points. Makes 4 servings.
