In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Saute onions until are golden. Add water, garbanzos or chickpeas, bouillon cubes, salt, garlic salt, mint leaves and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in macaroni. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Serve topped with Parmesan cheese and garnished with minced parsley.
This was such a quick delicious recipe. My two girls liked it very much. I did modify it a bit by omitting the salt, garlic salt, and dried mint leaves and adding 1/2 tsp of greek seasoning.
