This is an oriental twist to the Original Chex Party Mix. This receipe is sweeter than the original.

Thanks to whoever contributed to this recipe. We're here on the mainland and when we made it for our ohana out here, they loved it - including our mainland Kumu!

It's a keeper. Only thing I do differently is make 1/2 a batch as its the perfect amount to fit in the 2 - 9.5 x 11 pans I have, and makes enough for us to enjoy until its time to make more.

This is a very simple recipe to follow. The hardest part is waiting every 15 minutes to mix the recipe to ensure that it gets an even coating and baking time. Great recipe for fundraising. Everyone loved it so much we are making it again.

Oh! This is good! Instead of vegetable oil I used coconut oil and added rice crackers and honey roasted peanuts. This is THE BOMB! Thank you for this recipe!

Thank you so much for this recipe!!! I did tweak it a little bit, instead of karo syrup I used honey and instead of vegetable oil I used coconut oil. I added rye garlic bread chips (those little dark bread you find in the bags of store bought chex mix) , bugels and m&m's after baking. This gave me a whopping 3 pans! Also I only used 1 1/2 bottles of furikake. I did bake it a few minutes more to compensate for the time I took them out to stir every 15 min. This is the best chex mix I have ever had in my life!!!

I used only 1/2 c of sugar but followed the rest of the recipe and placed in 2 pans but within 20 mins the bottom of both pans were burnt. I don’t know what went wrong. My oven was set at 250 degrees.
