Melt chocolate, milk, and salt slowly in heavy saucepan. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour in wax-paper lined 11x7-inch pan. Refrigerate until firm.
This is my favorite fudge ever! I use it to top my Peanut Butter Fudge when I want the peanut butter cup taste. My grandchildren beg for it. I also thin it out with more sweetened condensed milk and use it as an icing on cakes. It make a beautifully glossy icing.
I make this every year for Christmas, my friends and family love it! I substitute rum for the vanilla, and I add chopped pecans and raisins to mine. Try it. It makes a good recipe even better!

Oh this fudge is the best I have ever tasted!!! I make it all the time, especially for special occasions. And it's so simple too!
