Fried Manchego Fingers

Manchego cheese
Bread crumbs (preferably use slightly stale bread)
1 egg, beaten
Plain flour, seasoned to taste


Cut the manchego cheese into fingers. Place each of the remaining 3 ingredients on 3 seperate plates, then in turn coat each finger of cheese in flour, followed by egg, followed by bread crumbs. Repeat the process with each finger, then place in a hot deep fat fryer at roughly 350°F/180°C for 4 minutes, or until golden. Serve immediately with a peppery salad.
