Empty the contents of the Jello boxes into a large bowl and stir in 2 cups boiling water; stir until well dissolved. Add 2 cups cold water; mix well. Pour half of this mixture into a 9x13-inch glass or metal pan. Put the strawberries in this mix. Put in the fridge for 20 minutes. 5 minutes before taking the Jello out of the fridge, empty the contents of the Cool Whip tub into the remaining Jello mixture. Whisk until smooth and evenly mixed. Spread on top of the first mixture in the pan. Cool for 4 hours or overnight and enjoy.

This is a very good tasting, cool, smooth and creamy dessert that is especially tasty in the summer. I like to put an additional dallop of Cool Whip and a slice of strawberry on top before serving. If a lighter recipe is desired, you can use sugar-free Jello and light Cool Whip in place of the regular items.
The Cool Whip and Jello mixture never set up so I could cut it into sqaures and serve it. My guests said it was good, but I was disappointed in the appearance.
