In small microwave-safe bowl, place milk, both chocolate chips, and shortening. Microwave at HIGH 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Stir in peanuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls into 1-inch candy papers. Allow to set until firm. Store in airtight container in cool, dry place.
My family loved these so much that I was able to get my teenage son to make more of them with me. The recipe calls for unsalted peanuts, but I had salted peanuts on hand and they worked just fine. The salt may have even enhanced the chocolate flavor.
