Ingredients
3/4 cup | butter, room temperature | 1-3/4 cup | sugar | 2 | eggs | 1 tsp. | vanilla | 2 cups | flour | 1/2 cup | powdered cocoa | 1/4 cup | malted milk powder | 1-1/4 tsp. | baking soda | 1/2 tsp. | salt | 1-1/3 cup | water |
Frosting
1/2 pint | whipping cream | 6 tbsp. | powdered sugar | 6 tbsp. | malted milk powder |

Instructions
Place butter and sugar in bowl. Using electric mixer, mix butter and sugar together until mixture is light and creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat l minute at medium speed. Combine flour, cocoa, malted milk powder, baking soda and salt; add alternately with water to butter-egg mixture. Pour batter into two buttered and floured 8-inch cake pans. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until test done. Cook and frost.
Frosting: Whip the cream, then add remaining ingredients slowly.
