This recipe is very close to a recipe I used to have from my aunt and was lost in one of my moves. It was from my grandmother and was a very favorite Christmas treat. The recipe is at least 60 years old!! The only difference was that the bottom layer was blonde with regular sugar. I can't wait to try it again and sorry I didn't find this before Christmas. I may make it with an almond flour bottom layer as I am gluten free. I will rate this based on my experience in the past with this nut bar!!
