Blueberry/Raisin Scones



7 to 12 servings



2-1/2 cup flour
1-7/8 tbsp. sugar
2-1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
3/4 cup frozen or
fresh blueberries or
3/4 cup raisins


Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut butter in dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Mix together milk and egg. Add to butter mixture and mix until dough forms. Add blueberries (or raisins). Spoon on greased baking sheet forming 7-12 scones. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes for 7 scones if you are making 12 scones bake for 20 minutes.
