Barbecued Country Style Spareribs

2 md. Onions; thinly sliced
2 tbsp. Butter or
margarine; melted
1 lg. Clove garlic; minced
1/2 cup Celery; chopped
1 cup Catsup
3/4 cup ;water
1 tsp. Dry mustard
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
2 tbsp. Brown sugar
2 tbsp. Vinegar
2 tbsp. Lemon juice
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3-1/2 lb. Country-style spareribs

Instructions

Saute onion in butter until golden brown; stir in next 11 ingredients. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Place ribs, meaty side up, on a rack in a shallow baking dish. Bake at 325 F degrees for about 2 hours or until well done, basting with sauce and turning every 30 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.
