I adapted this recipe a bit to cook the apples in my slow cooker. After coring the apples, I stuffed them with dried apricots and currants. I then put all of the apples in my slow cooker with a couple Tbsp. sugar and 1/2 c. of white wine. Cook on high for about 3-4 hours. Top with ice cream.

Instructions
Start with some clean healthy, unpeeled apples. cut the upper side leaving a conical space. Pierce the peal with a fork to allow liquid to get out. Group the apples and add sugar in the cut space. Add a nut on top. Optionally add some honey. Add some water in the pan to avoid burning. Cook in a heated oven first on high fire and then on low fire. The apples are ready when they are soft. Enjoy.
