carmine

This is a colorant used in blancmanges, yogarts and strawberyy flavored sweets. It is made from the dried out husks of the female beetle in the canary islands then exported to the US were it is distrubuted to companies that use it in there products. I find it unfair that the government in the UK allows companies to use the scientific name to cover up a bad product. Will anyone eat dead husk beetles ...no so why are we be lied to.
