Ingredients:

1/4 lb. butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecan pieces

Directions:

Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar until well blended. Beat in egg, then flour, vanilla and pecans.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoon, 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375°F oven 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned and crisp. Remove immediately from baking sheet and let cool on racks.
