Ingredients:

7-1/2 to 8-1/2 cups flour
2 tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1-1/2 cups milk
1-1/2 cups mashed potatoes

Directions:

Combine 4 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Heat milk, mashed potatoes, 1/2 cup water & butter until very warm. Beat at low, then medium. Add eggs and beat for two minutes. Let stand in covered nowl for 10 minutes. Stir in 3 cups of flour (or more) to make dough soft.

Knead and let rise until doubled. Knead and form into two loaves. Let rise and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes. Grease tops and cool on rack when done.

i make potato bread quite often.this recipe uses less sugar than i use.i tried this recipe and found it _very_ good.
