Ingredients:

6 lg. sweet potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced, divided
3 lg. apples, peeled and sliced, divided
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup apple cider
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Directions:

Layer half of the sweet potatoes and half of the apples in a greased, 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Repeat layers. Combine brown sugar and nutmeg. Sprinkle on top. Dot with butter. Pour cider over all. Cover and bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes. Sprinkle with pecans just before serving.

I didn't have any apple cider so I used apple juice with a tiny bit of brandy mixed in and it turned out delicious.
