Total Time:

Ingredients:

1-1/2 lb. chicken wings
1 egg
1 tbsp. cold water
2/3 cup finely chopped toasted almonds or peanuts
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F. Cut off wing tips. Divide each wing in half by cutting through joint with a sharp knife. Combine egg with water. Combine almonds with flour, salt and ginger. Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture, then roll in nut mixture to coat well. Place in a 13x9-inch baking pan. Pour butter over chicken. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until deep golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels. For an entree, prepare with larger chicken pieces, increasing baking time to 55 to 65 minutes.
