Ingredients:

3 cups grated uncooked corn
5 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
2 dashes nutmeg
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 cups milk
4 to 5 slices buttered bread, broken into crumbs
2 tbsp. butter

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300°. Place corn in buttered baking dish. Beat eggs. Add sugar, salt, pepper, nutmeg and milk; blend. Pour the mixture over corn and mix in bread crumbs until thick. Dot with butter. Set baking dish in pan of boiling water and bake for 2 to 2-1/2 hours until top is browned.
