Ingredients:

5 to 8 lb. assortment of fresh fruit from (preferably) the local farmer's market
2 oranges, in sections
1 pink grapefruit, in sections

Directions:

Cut peaches in half, then in wedges; cut melons in half, discard seeds, scoop bite-sized pieces with a spoon; remove seeds from cherries or grapes; remove stems from strawberries; etc. Place all the fruit in a large bowl*. Carefully stir in the orange and grapefruit sections. Cover and chill. Can be prepared one day in advance.
