Ingredients:

1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. flour
1/4 cup warm water
3 cups flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup margarine
4 egg yolks slightly beaten
1/4 cup scalded milk
1 egg white
Chopped nuts

Filling:
3 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Dissolve first three ingredients in warm water, set aside. Combine next three ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Cut in margarine til crumbly as for pie dough. Blend together egg yolks and milk and add, together with yeast mixture. Mix to form a soft dough. Divide in two and let stand, while preparing filling. Cream filling ingredients together until smooth. Pat half the dough into a greased and floured 9x13-inch baking pan. Spread with filling. Cover with remaining dough. Brush with unbeaten egg white and sprinkle generously with nuts. Cover and let rise 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
