Ingredients:

1 box mochiko flour
2-1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 cups milk
5 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flaked coconut, optional or grated young coconut meat

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl combine mochiko, sugar, baking powder. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients to mochiko mixture. Mix well. Pour into a 13x9x3 baking pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool. Cut into 3-inch squares.

Mochi is a Japanese dessert its made with mochiko which is a rice flour.

I have tried different butter mochi recipes, but so far this is the best. Even my husband agreed that this is a good mochi recipe


I tosated the squares on bamboo skewers, then rolled in crushed nuts. A thai variation. The original recipe is yummy as well.

I see you got the receipe. This receipe does not call for using foil.
