Ingredients: |

1 lb. ground beef
1-1/2 tsp. onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 can (14 oz.) tomato puree
1 can (14 oz.) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
3/4 cup celery, chopped
1 cup green and red pepper, chopped
1-1/2 cups onion, chopped
3/4 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked

Directions:

Brown ground beef in a large pan. Add the onions, celery, and peppers and saute. Drain off the fat. Add puree and crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add cooked elbow macaroni and heat through.

I never heard of this dish until I moved to the Boston area. Everyone kept on telling me that I just had to try it. So I gave it a shot and it was not that bad! I have people at work asking me to make it for them every so often.
