Prep. Time:

Total Time:

Ingredients:

1 pint sour cream
1 pkg. taco seasoning (I prefer El Paso)
1 lg. tomato
1 lg. green pepper
1 to 2 bunch scallions
1 pkg. cheddar cheese
1 lg. bag taco chips (the dipping kind)

Directions:

Dice veggies seperately. Mix sour cream and taco seasoning together until well blended. Spread on a large flat plate or pan (not aluminum). Spread veggies over the sour cream mixture one at a time. Top with grated cheese. Serve with taco chips. Stuff yourself.

Comments from Pat St. Laurence :

Others have tried this simple recipe and added other ingredients, only to go back to the original recipe.

I bring this dish to almost every pot luck lunch that we have at work and someone is always asking for the recipe.

Those who really, really enjoyed it - numerous.

Those who didn\'t like it - 1

Add a layer of refried beans. It tastes much better. Friends ask that I bring this to all functions.
